As well as teaching privately and group classes, pre and post natal yoga is something that Ellie continues to study and hopes to specialise in. Following her qualification in 2015 she has continued to learn about this amazing time in a woman's life and how to adapt/create a yoga practice to help her find comfort for her and her baby on (and off!) the mat. Since becoming pregnant with her first child at the beginning of 2019, she is keen to share her practice, knowledge and experience with other new mums while providing them the tools to maintain or begin a practice throughout their pregnancies in a safe, healthy way. Her hope is that this platform is somewhere expecting mums or new mums can come to take some time for themselves, whether they have an established practice and need to know how to modify the postures or are coming to the mat with no experience at all; she will help you work with and understand the many changes going on in your body and how to help it safely recover once baby has arrived.
"I wanted to design a tool that can help anyone out there who wants to start a yoga practice but isn't sure how: with all the different types of yoga, postures and classes out there now it can be slightly overwhelming to begin with. My e-guide contains the postures, hints and tips that helped me get to where I am today; it breaks down a variety of postures one by one, provides optional modifications and gives you detailed instructions on how to safely enter and exit each posture.
This e-guide will help you learn about your body, how to work with the breath and develop your practice in the comfort of your own home, on your travels or with a group of your friends! My hope is that it provides you with the stepping stone you need to start a confident, healthy yoga practice! For any more details or questions you might have, please feel free to email me!"
